The mission of 3 Wheels from Jesse is We serve teens and adults who are unable to safely ride a two-wheeled bicycle due to balance, coordination, or related challenges. Our primary focus is individuals on the autism spectrum, though other disabilities may be considered. Applicants must generally be age 15 or older based on current regulations. to provide access to education and healthcare for underprivileged communities.
We currently prioritize applicants in Central New Jersey, including Monmouth, Middlesex, Mercer, and Ocean counties.
We provide electric trikes (three wheels) only. Our program is specifically for individuals who cannot safely ride a traditional two-wheel bike. 3 Wheels from Jesse operates through partnerships with local organizations and volunteers to implement sustainable development projects.
3 Wheels from Jesse currently operates in 10 countries across Africa, Asia, and Latin Am Each trike costs approximately $2,500 - $3,500 all-in, including equipment, assembly, and delivery. Because of this, the number of awards we can give depends entirely on available funding.
We review applications three times per year on a seasonal schedule:
We do not typically conduct reviews in the winter (October–December). This time is focused on fundraising to support future awards.

We are not able to provide rankings or individual status updates. All applicants in the current pool are considered together during each review period.
