3 Wheels from Jesse (3WJ) is a New Jersey–based nonprofit that provides adaptive electric trikes to teens and adults with autism or other conditions that prevent safe two-wheel riding. Our mission is simple: give people the freedom, mobility, and independence that an e-trike can provide—often for the very first time in their lives.
When Shannon’s son Jesse received an adaptive e-trike at age 13, it changed every part of their family’s life. It opened up freedom, confidence, and independence in ways they never imagined. They quickly realized how many others in the community could benefit from the same experience but lacked access, funding, or support. 3 Wheels from Jesse was created to close that gap. When our son Jesse received an adaptive e-trike at age 13, it changed every part of our family’s life. • Provide donated adaptive e-trikes to qualified applicants
• Offer safety orientation and basic support
• Raise funds to expand access locally
• Partner with community organizations to reach families who might not know adaptive cycling is possible
3 Wheels from Jesse is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
We collaborate with Jesse’s e-Rides—an electric mobility shop located in Shrewsbury, NJ—for technical expertise, community outreach, and volunteer support, but the two entities are legally and financially separate.
